Questions we get every week
The answers a project manager, an event planner or a restoration contractor usually needs before the first call.
Distribution site, dock doors closedAlmost every one of these comes from a project manager, an event planner or a restoration contractor who is about to spend money and wants to know what he is actually buying. Richard answers them the same way on the phone.
Downtown run, screenedHow much lead time do you need to get the fence deployed?
We offer emergency services, but typically twenty four to forty eight hours notice will suffice. The more time we have to plan ahead, the better the install goes.
More notice usually means a cleaner line, gates in the right places on the first attempt, and fewer changes once your crew is working around it.
Do you offer eight foot fencing?
Yes. We offer eight foot panels and stands fencing, and we offer eight foot post driven chain link fencing.
It is not our most common request, so mention it early and we will confirm availability when we quote the job.
What do you need from me in order to quote a temporary fence?
Five things. Where is your project located. What style of fence do you need. How many linear feet of fence do you need. How many gates. How long do you need the fence.
Rough numbers are fine on the first call. We can tighten them when we walk the site.
Do you charge per month?
No. We charge a flat fee with no hidden costs. Our standard rental is for up to twelve months, and we offer discounts for short term rentals of a few months or less.
If your project runs longer than planned, the price does not change. There is no rent that keeps accumulating and no charge to come and collect the fence at the end.
What areas do you cover?
The Indianapolis metro and roughly an eighty mile radius of downtown Indianapolis. That takes in Greenwood, Carmel, Lafayette, Bloomington, Muncie, Anderson, Terre Haute and Richmond among others.
If your project sits near the edge of that radius, call and ask. The answer is usually yes and it costs nothing to find out.
What is actually included in the flat fee?
Delivery, installation, the rental term of up to twelve months, and the removal at the end. Nothing about the removal is billed separately.
What is not included is anything you add later, such as extra linear feet, an additional gate or windscreen fitted after the fact. Those are quoted when you ask for them.
Can you move the fence once it is installed?
Yes, and we expect to. Fencing gets in somebody's way on nearly every project. Call us and we come out, and general contractors get same day service on relocations, gate moves and additions.
Panels and stands can also be shifted by your own crew, which is one of the reasons most jobs start with them.
What payment terms do you offer?
Net 30 terms are normal for vetted accounts. Smaller or unvetted clients pay in full up front, and we say which applies at the start of the conversation rather than at the invoice.
Do you do residential fencing or permanent fence installation?
No. We do temporary fence rental only. We do not do permanent fence installation, gate automation, residential fencing, fence repairs, stanchions, orange fencing or fence material sales.
If you need one of those, say so on the call and we will point you somewhere useful rather than take the job and improvise.
Do you work weekends and overnight?
Yes, when the work needs it. Event load in and load out windows are frequently overnight or before dawn, and emergency work does not wait for a business day.
Can windscreen be printed with our own graphics?
Yes. Custom printed windscreen is available. Send artwork when we quote and we will tell you what the run will hold and how it will read from the road.
Windscreen is sold rather than rented, so it stays yours and can go back up on the next job.
Who will I be dealing with?
Richard, the owner. He handles every enquiry himself, for sales and for service, and he answers or calls back immediately.
On service calls that often turns into a change order, which is fine. It is also the fastest way to show you how quickly we get back on site.
Still need a number?
Answer the five and Richard will call you back with a price and a date.
